Mulungushi 10.5 MW No. 1 Machine Installation and Upgrade




New No.1 Machine (10.5MW)

Engineers Zulu, Kachasa, Chiti, Daka, Chibwe, Silwamba, Kamanga at Mulungushi Power Station during the installation of a 10.5MW turbine. The turbine replaced a smaller version (2.5MW) that was still in good working order during decommissioning. Total project cost was approx. $11m US (Funded by Development Bank of South Africa). Project commencement date : October 2007 ~ Completed November 2009
