14 Miles Sub-Station Construction ~ Oct - Dec 2009

Task: Design and Install a 20MVA transformer complete with Isolators, circuit breakers, gantries, etc.

Budget: $1.5-2m

Duration: 4 Months

Clerk of Works and Site Foreman: Mr. David K Silwamba

Site Engineer: Nathan Kanema

Reliability and Total Quality Manager: Engineer Friday Mulengwa Chibwe

Engineer Chibwe, Mr. Moses Chali (Senior Electrical Technician-LHPC) and Mr. Chokwe Mwape (Research and Logistics officer-LHPC) visit the site.

Installed 20MVA Transformer and Accessories,.

With Mr. Chali, Engineer Chibwe and Mr. Chokwe Mwape.


NMK making some site adjustments..

Mr. David Silwamba (my assistant) deserves the biggest picture for bravery and innovation. I still ask myself how we managed these works without utilizing a crane. Job well done Shitowela for a 100% safety record.
